The Brick returned to the long form with "The Aspern Letters," a ruthless romance by Roger Cornish. Based on Henry James' novella "The Aspern Papers," this full-length play is a ruthless romance dealing with the would-be biographer of a famous poet, who insinuates himself into the household of the poet's now-elderly mistress and manipulates her niece to in order to secure -- at any cost -- the poet's precious papers. Directed by Mark Cofta, it featured Ann Bailis, Rob Hargraves, Cyndi Janzen, K. Richardson, and Kurt Runco. May 9 - June 2, 2002
